Saturday 19 September, the garden of Cocagne Gorges of Aveyron celebrates its 10 years: conviviality, exchanges and concrete alternatives for a better quality of life.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the association, come to the edge of Aveyron, a few kilometers from Saint Antonin. You will enjoy in the family a breath of fresh air and a happy cocktail of events and exchanges around practical ecology and solidarity economy.
It is at Féneyrols, in the middle of the ranks of vegetables, that the Gardens of the Gorges de l'Aveyron blow their 10 candles. 10 years of work, at the crossroads of the social, organic agriculture and the economy. In these times of crisis, the marriage of these themes 3: environment, society, economy, we all question and the association proposes to explore the possible ways of improvement.

At 10h30, a round table will allow everyone to exchange practical solutions, respectful of men and nature, to improve their daily lives. It will be led by Jean-Guy Henckel - Director of the Cocagne Network; François Plassard - actor of "écohameau" approaches, of the university of the "chosen time", Jardins de Cocagne and Salt; Frédéric Bosqué - Actor of the Katao purchasing cooperative, promoter of the ethical currency SOL and the income of existence.
Through the economics fair organized by the CPIE, you will learn everything about ecomaterials, wood heating and solar electricity production: exhibitors, workshops, advice, debates.
After a birthday aperitif offered by the association, you can concoct an a la carte menu among the stands of the gourmet market of organic and local producers.
All day long, for young and old, the animators will discover, pick, cook, carve, play with vegetables and wild plants.
The tales of Marco Benard, the impromptu performances of the Compagnie Le TOC, the polyphonies of the choir "The swallows make the detour" will enchant your eyes and your ears.
A documentary film and an exhibition will help you understand the meaning of the work done by the team of the association and the gardeners in insertion.
Indeed, since 10 years, the association has accompanied more than 190 people in insertion who have grown and distributed more 75 000 baskets of organic vegetables to a network of 300 consumer members. This work, in connection with the land and nature, allowed them to rebuild a personal and professional project.
This day is organized in partnership with CPIE Pays Midi-Quercy and the Syndicat Mixte du Pays Midi-Quercy, with the participation of the Community of Communes Quercy Rouergue and Gorges de l'Aveyron, the General Council of Tarn et Garonne, the Regional Council Midi-Pyrenees.
