PVC shower hose without?

by sam beckett » 28/01/09, 18:59

Hello,

I am about to buy a shower filter, and I take this opportunity to take an eco shower, and therefore to change the hose.
I was going to take the whole thing on the same site, but I found another Flexible model advertising as "the first PVC-free shower hose!",
It is based on polyurethane, PVC free.
This is the ClicFlex from AquaClic:

code: Select all

http://www.cybelemaia.fr/PAGES/ecoclicflex.html
http://www.marche-equitable.com/clicflex-argent-p-1550.html

The one I thought of taking on Aqua-techniques.biz, seems to be a Microplast, in Pvc:
http://www.microplast-france.com/prio.htm

What is the difference between these 2 subjects?
Does this change anything for the user?
which one is better to take?

Goods.

As long as you don't burn the PVC (combustion + toxic it seems to me) I don't really see where the difference is for this use. It sounds like an argument from a salesman of antics. : Mrgreen:

yeah, that's what it seemed to me .. : Cheesy:
Thank you for confirming my doubts about the interest of such a product! : Lol:

Okay, let's go for a good old pvc pipe.

Now, it's true, that they could try to use other materials, rather than using petrochemical derivatives continuously.

To admit it, I didn't even know that "flexible PVC" existed ... moreover, 99% of wastewater evacuation pipes are made of PVC ...

So ... if it's to protect the environment (assuming there's a PVC "leak" ... so Chlorine I presume?) There's something else to change than the shower hose ...
