Cheap plumbing = shit!

Hello,
Yesterday, I repaired the neighbor's water pump which had frozen, for that I had to dismantle two 1/4 year old valves.
Result, I broke the net of the two valves.
One for disassembly, the other for reassembly.
However, I had not forced at all on these valves.
The reason is simple: the thickness of the threads valves is extremely slim !
So, beware when you buy plumbing, the quality has changed ... :?

Lejustemilieu, you are angry but the standards have not changed!

You may have bought poor quality parts.
Or maybe the thread or the thread were already damaged before disassembly.
This happens quite often when the part is engaged with an offset thread (easy with the fine threads of the plumbing)
Where even roof did you do by going up the room.

In addition, I have been doing plumbing for 20 years ...
There is shit equipment on the market ... it's new.
I should have taken pictures :D
I bought nothing, I dismantled the plumbing of my neighbor (no pun intended : Cheesy: )

I agree that we find more and more plumbing equipment of a quality to scare, badly machined, badly deburred fittings or defective foundry ... : Evil:

Now you have to check everything twice during a purchase ...

Personally I hate doing the same plumbing job over and over ...
Recently, I bought a kitchen faucet, machined askew, chips full of the mechanism, it leaked everywhere. : Evil:
I brought it back to the "bricastomerlin" store who reimbursed me for it, and I reassembled the old tap with a mixing cartridge that I reconditioned myself with the corpse of an old recovered tap ... :?

The quality of copper or brass pipes and fittings sold in "bricastomerlin" is not the same as in the pros ... :? The price either ...

When we see on the market complete "go on" washbasin taps at 12 € while brands like Grohe or Hansgrohe, which are, I think "mid-high-end" brands, it is 80 € minimum ... How to say: stop believing in Santa Claus!

Sustainability pays for itself, buying 1st price means losing money ... when people understand that, the planet can breathe a little ...

For the valves, it must be a pb of foundry quality ... what was the LeJuste diameter? I don't remember ever screwing up a plumbing thread ...

ps: LeJuste, I edited the title to make it more ... meaningful :)

These are 1/2 "valves used to connect the washing machine, or the garden hose.
As said, I came across toys of saint nicolas :?
We have no right to play with the quality of this material!
I'm sure it's stuff made in China

the tube per which burst in a friend's house created a water damage.
it was a tube of water from the boiler.
so he made insurance work.
the expert who came to his home concluded that there was a defect in the tube.
according to his statements it happens to him more and more to make this observation with tube per which comes from DIY discount store.

the boiler (at a discount price too) not being equipped with safety burnt.

his insurance worked well for the water damage and it was the condominium insurance that paid for the boiler.

because we have learned that IN A JOINT OWNERSHIP IT IS THE INSURANCE OF THAT THAT PAYS FOR THE BOILER.
despite the fact that the boiler belongs to the owner of the accommodation and that it is installed at his place ..... the laws are thus made ... we learn it every day
