Energy, methane ... and EPR

by Grelinette » 12/01/09, 02:01

I recently heard on France-Inter, in a scientific program, a specialist affirm that if we recover the methane generated by the various sources: garbage dumps, liquid manure, ruminant breeding waste, compost and other degradation of plants , ... (and even by bacterial degradation of dog droppings!), we could have in France an energy production equivalent to 4 EPR type nuclear reactors!
What do you think ?

If this is true, it would once again mean that public authorities and manufacturers are not yet very concerned about the search for alternative means of energy production, nor about the recycling and treatment of polluting gases!

It would certainly be much more reasonable, but we must not believe that it is simple either.
JL Borloo launched a call for tenders on this subject, are manufacturers ready to take up the challenge?
