Stanford Power Plant Electro Group Restarted

And if they were repairing rather than throwing and change? Rediscover the pleasure of the repairs yourself. How to diagnose a problem or find spare parts? Repair itself is way to save money generally!

Thank you for your encouragement. To be honest, it's already running. The generator is working. I powered a grinder with it, even forcing it. The engine didn't even need to accelerate, even though it's very old. It's only been five years since it ran.

If it were possible for you to stay on topic for your comments, that would allow us to have at least one easily readable thread.

Is this the pipe that brings the oil?

If so, is it connected to the connector marked with an arrow? (photo not detailed enough)

What's the point of all this electro-hydraulic valve? Is engine oil also used for the rest?
If it's connected, you need to purge all those big pipes too.

the pipe in the first photo ends up in the valve chamber but there is also a transfer that comes out of the block and flows into the cover and also ends up near the valves (but no oil either)

for your second comment, I wonder if it's not just to capture the pressure, because the large pipe connected to it comes directly from the bottom of the engine and the small iron pipe that goes up seems to be connected before the "valve"
for the start control present on the panel there is a key, off, on start, when the battery is connected, nothing happens, so I shunt the starter, maybe that plays, I don't know (I tried off and on)

In any case, thank you for your comments,

At the level of the red arrow, wouldn't that be a small needle valve?

In such a case, if it is closed it must hinder the purge. I don't know if the "normal" operating position is open or closed? :?

For the "stop" / speed variator control, to understand how it works, is there another "return" pipe at the injection pump which will return to the tank, which we cannot see in the photo?

I assume that the speed variator acts directly on the stroke of the injection pump piston.

I don't understand what you mean by transfer.
Are those the 2 "big" green hoses? These look like the hoses that surround/protect the pushrods and also serve to return oil from the top end to the bottom end.

for the red arrow, it's just a traffic jam on the GO return, the photo is misleading!!
I blew everywhere but nothing blocked

I don't really understand this part, when stopped if I pump it starts to force like a GO primer and no longer forces when the engine starts, given its location I thought I could prime the oil but nothing comes out
