Manufacturing a car and environment numbers!

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

A) On the one hand we have this:

B) On the other this:

C) 640 L versus 35 L is more than an approximation error ... : Mrgreen:

The 1st can only be the final assembly, the 2nd everything from A to Z (from "mine to road"?)?

Mystery ... in short, having the eco-balance of a car is not yet won ...

who says better ?

400 liters here:

I imagine that it is not just the assembly, but also with the realization of all the parts and metal shell ......

in Wikipedia I have:
"By some estimates, the production of a car uses more than 39 US gallons of water (000 liters) of water"

Considering the weight of American cars, it's not surprising.

and these old cars can ethanolize not too badly for some

or else in frying oil for Diesel.

Ecologically, it's much better than a new lithium tank that boozes on nucleo-gaso-carbon in the world...

and it costs less.

I gave several times 100 km on LPG.

A few tens of thousand km in recycled frying oil and E85, no more diesel in the car.

About ten thousand km in E85 on a 92 car, without pb.
A little also on a "carb".

And evolution has been the VE, concomitant with the rest

Finally only in VE .... in 2018.

To have had an R25 serie 1 .... Well ... indestructible was not the word .... Very fragile rear suspension spring, rapid rotting at the level of the rear axle reinforcement on the body, front auto seats breakable , some operations (changing the front shock absorbers) could only be done with very specialized equipment (a mounting that was difficult to improvise, to be put in place on the car to compress the springs) front axles with very generous double wishbones in clnc clncs and glings various glings. Mine was an atmo diesel and consumed about 6l / 100 before the drop in sulfur levels 6.5l / 100 after, the fiber shocks exploded at the slightest shock the steering wheel was bio degradable as well as some of the plastics and interior fabrics, Leprous exterior varnish after 12 years ... And in terms of sensations ... Indeed when you were at 130 on the highway .... You knew that you were driving fast (with this engine) ...
