On my filter, it is marked 5 µ (1 micron is recommended for cars. )
Centrifuge, yes ... but I don't know the exact principle of operation.

5µm is for the diesel = oil filter!

engine oil is filtered at 10µm

vegetable oil with a sufficient amount would be 27 µm according to a thesis on (palm) fuel oil.

I use recycled fryer oil for my tractor and
I don't break my head too much when it comes to
filtration. My wife sewed a 1m X0.8m pocket in
geotextil (thick) .This pocket is fixed by the edges in a
200 l barrel. I pour the oil / fat in the pocket
it slowly filters, when I need oil I pour it in
a container by means of a tap placed at the bottom of the barrel.
first liters of frozen fat (when the
temperature drop in autumn) is reversed in the pocket.
I drain the bulk of the fat from the bottom of the time pocket
other but I leave it on the walls, it participates in filtration.
I replaced the fuel filter of the backhoe loader last week

Very effective as filtration, you find them on truck or tractor engines. Especially on Zétor brand tractors. Czechoslovakia. The rotor rotates with the speed of the circulating oil driven by the oil pump.

For the little story,
The farmer who helped me build this filter did not want money.
So, I told him "try 30% oil in the tank of your tractor"; he left with 60 liters to try.
Yesterday, he came back with 5 empty 30-liter cans; he quickly understood.
