[Solved: swirl butterflies] What's that on a 1.9 TiD Saab engine (small oil leak on the cylinder head)?

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

Not so genius!!!! If that didn't translate, it was because the rod was still connected... apparently the motor is strong (or already blocked?)! : Mrgreen:

I finally found it (a bit different from the video, impossible to see directly, have to take pictures and grope) and disconnected it (I have a good touch, like Macro : Mrgreen: ) and does a blocking edit on the left.

Fortunately, the engineers had planned a light that would otherwise be impossible to make without major dismantling...

By tweaking on the axis controlled by the rod, apparently there is a hard point on the system in the open position. I could no longer move the link bar with a screwdriver in this position but I still made a blocking tinkering on the left in addition...

I'm not very proud of it, I'll probably do something cleaner later...and as said in the video: temporary is often long-lasting!

I don't think so, it's on the other side of the engine...but I think there's the EGR not far away...

Ah you mean that the EGR returns engine oil from a turbo leak? OK, it's possible...

Disassemble the air inlet pipe in your collector before the arrival of the. Egr at the intercooler outlet for example you will see you should find nice clean oil there... Coming from your turbo leak... It's normal... Up to... A certain point

Ok I'll look at that, until now it didn't consume any oil... I did an oil change 2000 km ago and it's still yellow (half)...

Not normal... On fuel oil.. The oil should be black if it is of good quality with the detergents that work well... Are you sure you haven't drained the coolant?

Very funny !

Well I looked 2 weeks ago, today after 2700 km (driven a lot these last days), it looks like this, oil change done on January 19 with 5w40 Kennol (not done myself, lazy in winter. ..).

It was lighter 2 weeks ago. A clear oil still means a good seal against combustion eh (little blowby)

On my gas car, the motor oil remains as when it comes out of the container. : Shock:
