Yes, it's a Hatz engine. This engine is very present in the construction machine on large vibrating plates, small rollers, etc., etc ... But on a bike, it still surprises a little ...

Yes, that's what reassured me ...

Because there are unfortunately also small Diesel, extremely polluting (they always smoke a little ...), probably of origin inidenne or Chinese, on the carts without license ...

there are small diesel of this kind for small machine of public work, and on the car without license

it's good old direct injection at slow speed: slower than indirect injection ricardo commits car diesel

these small diesel engines have a pretty good performance! better than some car diesel has ricardo injection!

it smokes like the old truck direct direct injection ... this smoke is not a sign of serious pollution: it is large particle clearly visible, more messy than dangerous ... the more modern diesel make less big visible particle , but I'm afraid he'll do more dangerous particle

in any case these single-cylinder diesel reduce consomation thanks to their good performance ... so reduction in the flow of smoke ... even if it does not look very clean, the overall balance should not be bad

what makes them uninteresting for motorcycle is their big inertia because of a big steering wheel to turn slowly ... so acceleration worthy of an agricultural tractor!

but in India these motorcycles are not used as race machines

Good the Ricans put themselves there:
http://ecoloauto.com/la-elio-le-future- ... conomique/

According to the manufacturer's data, the Elio should be able to travel 84 miles with a gallon of gas, a consumption equivalent to 2.8l / 100kms, and have a range of 1075 kilometers.

Even more interesting is the price of the Elio, set at 6 800 $ US.

Small flat an engine 70ch.

a car has 2.8L / 100 with a livability worse than a classic sedan? no interest = no sale other than a few bobo.
it would be necessary for the liter of fuel to be at least 3 € for this kind of projects to actually emerge.
we act under duress, it's human.
