Roll with cheaper natural gas

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

Yes, whether in gas and / or biogas, and likewise with electricity, investment in charging stations is always important, for a use that is not necessarily significant in volume over the year. Chicken and egg problem .... The same goes for vehicles which generally have a significant additional cost.

Hence the importance of favoring the most regular uses throughout the year (city buses, garbage trucks, Post type fleets, delivery vans ...) first so that infrastructure and vehicles are used best.

A combine, I do not see too much interest .... Even a tractor, in my opinion it is discussed.

The agglomeration of Laon inaugurates its first natural gas bus

26/12/2019 Michael TORREGROSSA

Inaugurated this Friday, December 20, the first natural gas bus in the agglomeration will soon be supplied with biogas.

"CNG presents an immediately available solution to drastically reduce local pollution" underlines the municipality on its website, recalling the performance of the technology which offers 95% less fine particles and 50% less nitrogen oxides (Nox) compared to diesel.

A bus that will run in the future with biogas.

“There are a lot of biogas production projects around Laon. The will is to make the circular economy and to reinject biogas in the buses of the urban community "summarizes daily the Union Eric Delhaye, mayor of Laon and president of the urban community of the country of Laon.

From January 6

If this first gas bus was able to make its first revolutions within the agglomeration, its effective operation will not take place before January 6.
"He will start by making fixed timetables, he will leave in the morning and come back to take a break, recharge it and can then set out again to do a tour in the afternoon" explains Guillaume Jacmain, director of Transports Urbains Laonnois (TUL), operated by the RATP Dev group.

The bus will be refueled on a mobile station deployed with the help of GRDF. Provisional, this will make it possible to join until the opening of the Total station in Laon, scheduled for the second quarter of 2020.

In addition to this first gas bus, the Agglomeration Community ordered at the beginning of November the order for a new CNG vehicle, the delivery of which will take place in June 2020.
It also plans to include the acquisition of two other buses as part of its 2020 forecast budget.

Happy New Year 2020 to all Econologists!

Small interlude for the new year, because there is not ONLY ethanol85 in life :-)

at Mont de Marsan, the biogas CNG sector is getting organized and contributes to the building of the energy transition.

1) anaerobic digestion unit

2) A network of 2 CNG stations, where the GrdF network is used to absorb the gas produced at the methanization unit and deliver it elsewhere.

3) heavy vehicles (city buses and school transport, delivery trucks, garbage dump trucks) benefit (ront) from these precious infrastructures. And light cars bi-fuel or 100% CNG will also follow.

Le IVECO CNG bus with 60 seats intended for school transport was refueled in June 2019 at SORTINO Catalgaz SARL station

When will a Biogas-Electricity hybrid car
, Huh? ;-)

A nice film from the Volkswagen Passat TSI Ecofuel (2013), it will please Guy because his Leon TGI is derived from it

An article motor Nature on the new Seat Leon

Image

Among the many and varied engines, note a TGI version (bi-fuel petrol / CNG) based on the latest block VW 1,5 TSI 130 Ch

for PHEV enthusiasts, a 1,4 TSI + 13 kWh battery version which no doubt augurs well for good electric autonomy (> 60 km, to be confirmed), and above all for the possible ethanolization of the gasoline unit (old, the same as that of the GTE) to go to the end of the ecological logic of the vehicle.

another article that should please Guy

The VW group does not abandon natural gas, with the Seat Arona TGI

Par motor Nature

particularity of this car: dual fuel is automatic, namely that the driver does not choose his fuel. The car imposes gas by default, even at startup. If there is no more gas, the electronics switches to petrol (9L only ... enough to make a good hundred km anyway)
