2 stroke engine: replace oil with diesel?

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

Rapeseed oil may be the best, for the percentage, I can't tell you too much (6% to start)
With castor oil you can probably lower the dose
To do well, it would be necessary to compare the viscosities at 20 ° C of 2-stroke oils with vegetables to have a better approach.
I enclose a table of the characteristics of vegetable oils at 20 °

Between diesel and vegetable oil there is no photo !!!

Good Christophe if you want I found the engine. It's an "ASPERA" brand two-stroke, it just lacks the carburetor which was a 20/13 Dellorto found on a tecumseh mower and other crap like that. It does not seize after at least 15 years of storage it still has good compression.

A good colissimo and you got it back ... No time to experiment ...

castor oil is used for small-scale engines because the main fuel is methanol ... and mineral or synthetic oil does not mix with methanol ... or ethanol

rincin oil has drawbacks: it is slightly dry: it clogs the engine, and above all it is expensive

if other cheap vegetable oil could replace it it would be known

I tried to run chainsaw with E85 ethanol: not possible the 15% of gasoline inside is not enough to dissolve the normal 2-stroke oil: it makes vinaigrette, it doesn’t not crame the engine but it never runs well ... adjustment of the carburetor impossible ... I could have put oil of rincin, but it is too expensive therefore without interest

for old 2-stroke diesel I have a few, it uses mineral oil, diesel does not lubricate anything
