Florencia: new concept for an urban vehicle?

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

Florencia: new concept for an urban vehicle?

by Christophe » 11/02/07, 23:35

A site which has just been added to the directory ( https://www.econologie.com/annuaire/ ) and that I found particularly interesting (even if there is nothing really innovative) a French loremo-twike in sight?

The concept "Florencia" is an entirely new development, it is therefore essential to hide any comparison between this concept and the existing realizations.
This vehicle is neither a cart nor a scooter.
The primary idea and objective is to adapt to new modes of travel in the city.
It is not a question of adapting these means to our requirements and habits, but rather of transforming our habits in terms of travel and of adapting the "Florencia" concept to our real needs.

Move differently
Without doing in-depth studies, it is easy to see that most urban travel is done individually for reasons of freedom of movement, ease or personal convenience. The energy expended to move a mass of 1000 or even 1300 kg of a modern 5-seater vehicle with a displacement of 1600 or 2000 cm3 unfortunately represents a huge waste. We see it every day, pollution, budget.

The Florencia concept weighs only 180 to 280 kg, depending on the displacement of 50, 50 HYBRID, 125, 125 HYBRID, or 250 cm3.

This considerably reduces energy costs and only mobilizes the space necessary for one, two or three people.

Well, yes, it is certainly good if you leave them in town for self-service, a bit like the short-term rentals set up this year in Paris.

the limitation to 50km / h is a bit tight, especially on the device!
