Electric plane E-Fan

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

I know ... but we hadn't talked about it anywhere other than on this subject (last post above in 2016 ...)

Has it been fixed since I assume?

The Slovenian manufacturer Pipistrel has just certified its two-seater Velis Electro aircraft. It is a world first for a 100% electric aircraft. It paves the way for cleaner aviation, which has now become one of the priorities of many aeronautical manufacturers.

It's good for passing your certificate, not for traveling.
The modest autonomy of 90 minutes (including safety margins) is perfectly compatible with basic pilot training. The training sessions hardly exceed 45 minutes with numerous laps by chaining touchdowns. Noisy repetitive maneuvers for residents who are delighted to see the arrival of electric planes.

Nice extension! Not far from a glider motorcycle! Nothing to do with the aeronautical stew that was the eFan! : Mrgreen:

This proves once again that SMEs can have more skills and better results than multinationals despite their tens of millions of R&D!

ps: uh ... the e-Fan was not certified ?? : Shock:
