Cardan bike without chain speed

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

the interest is not the gimbal but the rollers of the chain which are replaced by ball bearings.

Without protection, their usefulness (not that they turn on their axis during contact with the toothed wheel), longevity and exceptional performance remain to be verified. To judge the effectiveness of a technology, aesthetics is not enough.

In 1898, we already knew how to manufacture an "Acatène" chainless bicycle. https://wiki.tontonvelo.com/index.php/H ... 98_environ

there is no reason why the ball bearings do not hold if they are sealed and calculated for the load. What you have to see is the contact of the ball bearing transmission and not the universal joint itself where the load is transmitted by friction.

You're right, there is only need for a gimbal when there is a shock absorber (and again, it depends on the geometry of the suspension).

the interest here on this bike is the exceptional transmission efficiency associated with a variable speed drive.
