on a micro tractor the efficiency of the hydrostatic transmission is low (50%) and we don't care because the main power is used to rotate the blades! advancing is just a detail

Likewise for all site machines with hydrostatic transmission: we especially appreciate the ease of maneuver, and we are satisfied with the poor performance

we must also see that the returns are not constant!

in the mechanical gearbox the output is very good on high speed and a little less good on short speed, and poor in the starting phase where the clutch is skated

the hydrostatic it is the opposite, the output is bad at high speed, but when it is necessary to make multiple maneuvers advance backwards it is better than a clutch
