From Wednesday 6 to Sunday 10 June will be held in Nancy, at the Auditorium of the Parc de la Pépinière, the Researcher's Film Festival. Its motto: Make the researchers' approach understood, known and loved. The objective of the organizers is to make visible the research being done through films and to support the production of researchers through the prizes during the competition.

Each film being screened in the presence of the researcher, it is a place of rich and dense exchanges between researchers, directors, producers and the general public. The title of the event responds to the desire to give a prominent place to researchers, men and women who in their field of investigation are trying to understand the world.

For the 2012 edition, the event takes place in the heart of the city, under marquees, near Place Stanislas, and extends to the weekend in order to attract a family audience.

Make the science and research carried out as accessible as possible: this is the choice of the organizers. This requires the event to be free, the funding of which is provided by the contribution of public institutions and private partners.

The competition for budding researchers, intended for primary classes

Actions towards colleges and high schools. The festival offers students accompanied by their teacher to work on a selection of films by researchers. Working on the scientific theme of the film presented, discussing the life of a researcher, analyzing the way of filming the sciences, questioning knowledge in perpetual evolution, and finally meeting the researchers are the objectives of these privileged moments.
