New Echo Motor 2 project, Mines de Douai

by echo-moteur² » 06/11/07, 19:35

Hello

We are students at the Ecole des Mines de Douai, and we are the team that took over last year's Echo-Motor project.
Following the advice given to us, we decided to test the assembly on a Diesel engine.

We would like to benefit from your experiences, in order to limit the loss of time, and especially not to reproduce certain errors.
So don't hesitate if you have advice to give us, or questions to ask us.

We would like to obtain from people convinced of the proper functioning of the assembly, diagrams, photos, and all types of documents concerning it.

One clarification, however: our work is simply student work, the school has set us the objective of carrying out an "open project with a predominantly scientific basis". It is a job with limited hours.

We opted for the following subject: "Configure the characteristics of the components in order to verify the performance of a diesel engine equipped with a Pantone G". Thus, our goal is to quantify on test benches the results obtained by systems already operating (promising results that you would have noticed).

Thank you for your help.

Hello : Cheesy:
Welcome to you.
This time serious things can begin.
Did you consult the experimentations pages of forum ?
They are already well documented.

Hi,
you have a heavy spot.
What is your state of mind, your hopes for this project?

Good luck. And all my support.

We have started to look at the other pages concerning water doping for diesel engines.
We thought for a long time to continue the work started last year, ie on a petrol engine, but it is only very recently that we opted for diesel.
We will not fail to consult in detail these different pages.

(Re) Welcome here!

For those who are new to the project, I remind you of the links concerning the Echo-Engine "1" project:

2 discussions on forums :

https://www.econologie.com/forums/pantone-et ... t3663.html
https://www.econologie.com/forums/etude-sur- ... t3415.html

3 downloads (which I put online as their site is HS):

Full report:
https://www.econologie.com/projet-echo-m ... -3516.html
Press release:
https://www.econologie.com/projet-echo-m ... -3518.html
Press Pack / Summary:
https://www.econologie.com/projet-echo-m ... -3517.html

1 article in Science et Vie (November 2007):

https://www.econologie.com/forums/article-pa ... t4204.html

Otherwise general remark: to avoid possible confusion with the Echo Engine 1 project, I advise you to name it echo engine "2" or "²" or whatever ... but try to change the name slightly ... otherwise it may be very difficult for the neophyte to follow ...

Here is the response by e-mail I made to Sylvain C. one of the members of the EchoMoteur project 2 weeks ago:

Christophe wrote:Hello,

Glad to see that the project has not been abandoned (because apparently your site no longer works :( )
I suggest that you publicly discuss your project, so you will receive the opinions of other people.

We have already created a topic about this on our forum, the easiest for you is to "continue" it:
https://www.econologie.com/forums/pantone-et ... t3663.html

There is already a lot of advice "to follow" ... now you are the heads of your project.

The quick advice I can give you is to pass on a water doping on a diesel because the principle of a diesel is to self-regulate the amount of fuel injected ... on petrol it is a gas plant. ..

Here is a VERY IMPORTANT link if you really want to make a splash (to pass on to your teachers if possible):
https://www.econologie.com/une-explicati ... -3326.html

I also recommend the wiki: https://www.econologie.com/wiki-moteur-p ... hp/Accueil

See you soon

As you decided (bravo) for water doping here are 2 advice links with which I would start for you:

A) On a practical level:

Diesel water doping installation advice by André, a great doping specialist! (to the water eh !!)

B) At the theoretical level:

Ionization of water vapor by Julien Rochereau Read this doc and reread it several times if necessary! There is a very good chance that this is one of the keys to success!

Julien will be going over this subject soon to tell you more!

We are relatively new to the subject, but we are very interested in the subject.

As far as our state of mind is concerned, we really have no a priori on the subject. Of course, being able to demonstrate the qualities of this system represents a significant source of motivation for us, if that is what you mean by "expectations".

Given the strong, often negative, criticism of the work of our predecessors, we are prepared to take more account of the advice of those who say that the system works. A meeting is also possible.

Good but if I understand correctly you want to study an engine whose owner is already satisfied with the results, in order to show in the most scientific way possible, what is going on.

The cars of some of us lend themselves very well, right?
Especially those who have already started to prove themselves on the bench ...
You see who I mean 8)

PS: the criticisms do not concern the work of your predecessors but the bad approach that they had to approach the subject.
I think that you are on the right track there, too bad they did not do the same.

Mmm what do you have as a test bench because if I trust the photos in the S&V article and if you continue to work with the same laboratory, it was an "engine" bench and not a "vehicle" bench ...

So it will be easier to start with a "new" engine than to dismantle and reassemble the engine of an already modified vehicle?

If you have access to a "vehicle" bench, where exactly is the test laboratory located and how long do you need to real estate the vehicle (or?)?
