Hello everybody

I dug up a bit, but I want to bring my stone to the building.

I have an induction hob (Whirlpool) and I have recently acquired a consumer recorder (OWL).
I confirm that my plate consumes 640mA standby, nothing (about 115w).
Confirmed by ampermétrique clip (Chauvin Arnoux F62).

It's downright theft, for my part I freaks my plate back on and the on time, waiting to add a switch on the circuit.

If it is indeed the OWL CM160, the sensor of this recorder is similar to a current clamp.
Both units are used to measure an intensity, but are completely unsuitable for measuring a power (except for a resistive load, which is not the case of an induction plate) since they do not measure the voltage or the phase shift between voltage and current.

Extrapolating to 640mA 115W is hazardous.

and even completely false.
As said earlier, leave the plug plate and check the conso directly on the electricity meter, which gives the true power active consideration.

Still, even if these do not correspond 640mA has an apparent power (VA) and the actual active power (W) consumed is very low and in the standards is that there is a reagent consumption ( VAR) very important. And even if it is not (yet) charged to individuals, it unnecessarily load the network with all the ecological and economic consequences that come up.
In our time, and our level of technology, this is simply unacceptable.

Make hay while on a hunting wasteful appliances on standby (TV etc ...) and tolerate that one of them can consume more 100VA for anything under the pretext that active power that does almost nothing, c is pure foutage of mouth.

Or a measure of current flawed because not adapted to the pulse signal.

In standby, the utensil is placed detected result is that a residual induction is generated continuously, probably impulse way ...
Be checked with the oscilloscope, I have no hob.

If plaque is recent and CE approved, it should consume less than one watt?
1 8 to W measured on plates in 2008 http://www.enertech.fr/pdf/76/reduire-c ... stique.pdf 7 page

Hello,

I also measured a significant standby power.
My induction plate is as follows:
3 homes
Brand: Hotpoint Ariston.
tactilles buttons
2016 year.

I see a consumption of about 90W standby.

I wonder if I will not put a switch (if possible ...).
