I believe that watches should be banned on all electrical devices, just as a device should not have any power consumption, then the transformer of the devices, should be replaced by tranfso consumption reduced, it does not seem to me normal to see that transformer can perform still be sold with some devices
when t to the English, for once there are some who have cuckoo (not to say big words ) we are not going to complain, finally remains to see if it will be really applied

For the rest, I thought, just for the computer: 13 watts for the scanner, X watts for speakers, I do not know what for the monitor, qq watts for the router, qq watts for the power supply the same thing for the printer: it is fast to half an extra kilowatt a day, or 180 kW per year, or the financial equivalent of a half full

I do not know if the "1800" on the hoover vacuum cleaner corresponds to the power of the vacuum cleaner, but hey, their vacuum cleaner does not seem to me to be very efficient

The vacuum is still a bit of an anti-econo tool ... I made the remark not long ago. It can be replaced in a situation by an electrostatic ball (not the disposable Swiffer of shit of course ... but a permanent thing) ...

Believe me (or rather ask Christine) an electro ball static it works as well (in addition it is wider than aspiro ... so it takes less time).
Obviously it has its limits ....
As for the conso it comes from the rather low efficiency of vacuum cleaners. Our is given for 300W suction while it consumes 1400W ...

New buyer of the PM230, I start gradually in the detail of my consumptions:
I have a default voltage between 238 and 239V. Not less.
- Freebox v5 (Telephone side): 14,16W - 0,06 A
- Canon scanner (as soon as plugged in, not running): 14,16W - 0,06 A
- Memup USB Hard Drive 250Go: 16,52W - 0,07 A
- 4 USB Hub External Ports: 16,52W - 0,07 A
- Siemens landline - 7,08W - 0,03A
- iPal radio power supply (connected empty): 14,28 W - 0,06 A
- iPal (with power supply connected): 16,73 W - 0,07 A
All with a Phi cos of 1.0
- PC off - 14,04 W!
- PC on (with CPU at 100%): 127,12 W - 0,56 A
For my PC on, I have a Phi cos of 0,95.
This inspires me with several questions:
1. I have many values that are similar in terms of consumption: 14,16W or 16,52W.
=> Is this due to the fact that the measurement time is insufficient?
2. My PC off (physical press on the "Power Off" button) still nibbles 14W which go I do not know where
=> Need to have a switch at the outlet itself; Or to change my PC power supply to a more recent one?
3. Some power with built-in transformer consume even empty (it's a discovery for me): The plug to recharge my radio (12V conversion, 500mA) food 14,28W without even plugging my radio on! And 16,52W with my radio connected, a return of 17,15% !!!
=> I would like to have explanations on high efficiency power supplies, and possibly know if it is possible to replace a power supply that consumes deadly (empty) by a more efficient power supply.
=> Advice to aspiring electronics engineers: is there a small electronic assembly which cuts the current automatically when there is a sharp drop in current demand and which restores it when there is a strong demand?

Has anyone compared the results given by the PM230 with what the EDF meter says?
I have several wattmeters a bit similar to the PM230 (with cos phi) and I found that for some devices, the results had nothing to do with the actual consumption?
It measures for example mains filter consumption of the order of 10 watts for example instead of leaving 0 watt!
Since then, I have a very moderate confidence in the result provided by these devices ... and prefer for a precise measurement to take a meter type EDF disk! This is not an exclusive EDF here and we find in all stores for 20 € ...
In devices really greedy for nothing ...
