Replace the wind?

It is a fact that it is necessary to lower the current under high voltage to limit the section of the cable.

As for the wing, it is subject to the wind failure, right?

Uh ... Yes of course! Just like the wind turbine, right?
It is complementary in sum.

yes, but the wind turbine and the balloon do not fall, them! :D

if you have to constantly have guard staff to put the machine and take off, it will end up expensive!

What surprises me the most is that the principle of a floating "cable" is not more widespread: a cable structure containing a light gas (or vacuum, for that matter) which gives it zero or slightly positive buoyancy. , a tube, and whose structure allows electrical or fluid transfers, would bring a lot and seems feasible.

For simplicity, it takes a structure and a material that supports 1 pressure bar for 1m3 of internal volume (empty), and which weighs 1kg.

One of the problems often forgotten is that posed by differences in electrical potential between altitudes, which exist before lightning: there may be a possible source of energy.

There is currently a cargo ship equipped with a giant kite automatic on the bow. When the wind weakens or is no longer oriented favorably, the system brings back the bagpipe independently. Same for putting in the air ....

In addition, a wing does not fall, it hovers!

yes masi in the case of the balloon wind turbine, it is filled with helium and holds in the air until the wind comes back. : Cheesy:

highfly, I'm a little skeptical: it weighs heavy alternator and cable too!

In addition, a carrier cable and a sufficiently sized copper cable are required to limit the current losses between the machine and the ground. Copper is not that light!

In short it is still a large helium balloon to carry the cables (electric and carrier) and the alternator.
