The interest of the FF is that it is usable and cheap individuelement while the merger is necessarily huge machines in a centralized sytem. Of course for hot fusion I assume you mean the boron hydrogen fusion, no ITER.

Well to reproduce the "cold fusion" which is expressed in the only observable example so far, it will really cost very very expensive in PET * ...!
So to heat a home, will each lead the rubble of trucks, sand / gravel / stone / cement pour a slab, then the day after the break, eliminate and re-run another at 130 € per m3, it's more expensive than any fossil fuel, we'll call it "gray energy" given the color [joke mode: "OFF"] ^^
If radon is released by a physicochemical reaction, which under ambient pressure releases this radioactive gas in the materials used, and which is released (and / or active) in a catalytic reaction (which can observe in others, but it's the only one I know that releases of radioactivity and can therefore be likened to the gentle atomic fusion and / or cold, in the etymological sense of the term).

I'm afraid you're not disappointed. Physicists are unable to efficiently confine the plasma. Iter seems postponed indefinitely, and when it's ready, it will be just a prototype, it is still far from industrialization.
Shorter-term solutions would be welcome, especially those who, like the hypothetical cold fusion could be used in a decentralized manner. The disposal of electrical voltage lines would also be a nice program ...

ITER is a political project that a viable project ...
Actually participating countries ITER We are all looking for solutions that are more efficient, less expensive and faster to implement (ZR machines, LM compact fusion, PETAL, ARC, etc ...).
