Triple glazed aluminum frames for less than 200 euros in a DIY store in Germany: a joke? No ... the proof:
What do the "specialists" think?
ps: beware, triple glazing is not necessarily conducive to energy savings because, on the south side, it limits solar gain. This has been widely discussed here: https://www.econologie.com/forums/le-triple- ... t4570.html

No, I have that in the catalog ... now at this price, I'm afraid that it is (a little) junk, right? Otherwise it is that we are doing well ...... biiiiip .... elsewhere (Belgium and France ...).
Now the Germans are 20 years ahead of passive houses so good ... don't prevent a kg of aluminum it is a kg of aluminum, 1 m² of glazing ditto ... etc etc ... I see not what justifies such price differences ...
Here is the site of the store in question: http://www.hela.de/home must "search" ...
The catalog I have dates from September 2008, I just found it under a pile ...

In the current catalog: http://www.hela.de/web/infozentrum-herbolzheim
It is 3 to 10 times cheaper than the prices in France or Belgium !!

Christophe: stop spreading the idea that everyone drinks excessively.
Manufacturer price X 1,35 = wholesale price
wholesale price X 1,35 = installer price
installer price X 1,35 = consumer price
either consumer price = manufacturer price X 2,46
If a manufacturer or wholesaler short-circuits all of this, is satisfied with a reduced margin, for example 1,2 (compensated by the quantity) or has a second choice produced in Syldavia, it is normal for it to be much cheaper ....
Others practice the policy of the call price, the shortage, or even the foil ...
Still others practice programmed bankruptcy ...
That said, when I see the double glazing in my living room, I tell myself that my owner has certainly not made a good deal ....

This is why I prefer wooden doors, patio doors and windows, whatever their origin, this allows me to tailor it myself for renovation by taking the rating as close as possible.
With PVC or ALU joinery this is not possible.

Pouarf, I tried to "search" the site but the language was stronger than me!
Here are some data that seem globally (!) Consistent:
Northern and Central Europe
Ugminimal value
Maximum solar factor
southern Europe
Ugminimal value (but less critical)
Average or even minimum solar factor
Ug is one thing but the solar factor is also essential to compare glazing between them according to a specific use. This last value is not provided on the document that you present Christophe.
Difficult to position if it is only in a northern exposure (not sunny), with identical Uw / Ug, the solar factor will certainly have an impact on the clarity of the glazing but no thermal incidence.

Taking discounters for reference is not healthy.
It's not really what I meant ... don't forget that I myself am a trader and that I am rather against the "hard" discount ... only in this case, the difference is so great that I 'interrogates...
I don't think the Germans are more philanthropic or disinterested in profit than "us" ... do you want to talk about Lidl or Aldi?
I think that the commercial margin that you describe (ideally but let's not forget) is the same on "discount" products as elsewhere, so these frames probably come out of the factory much cheaper than the "others" ...
So here it is, I do not judge, I observe ... and I would therefore like to know the "secret" ... of such a low cost.
Some tracks:
a) quality at a discount (difficult to judge from a catalog)
b) outsourcing (yes, but who doesn't?)
c) mass effect (likely on the triple but on the double?)
d) no or few intermediaries
Surely a little of the 4 ...
ps: we installed 1 pvc kömmerling chassis, which is also german. It was paid (slightly) cheaper than the local manufacturing company for superior quality.

Same, from what I saw there is nothing on their site ... except the flyers ... current promotions ...
Regarding the difference between triple and double glazing, see this topic: https://www.econologie.com/forums/le-triple- ... t4570.html
Putting 100% triple glazing is, according to me, not interesting ... unless the house has no opening to the south or west ... or that you are an ayatola of the passive house (heated largely by electrical losses ... but it must not be said ...) and what we gain in Primary Heating Energy we lose it in EP ventilation then good ... it's white cap and white cap. ..
