The deom can very well burn wood waste, chips, deciduous wood, just like pellets, logs, briquettes or even sawdust directly ...

A pretty good handyman could even add an automatic feeding system (pellets, chips, deciduous wood ...) for a few hundred euros!

I recapitulated the advantages and disadvantages of a deom here (subject that you know): https://www.econologie.com/forums/chaudiere- ... t4572.html

Ben no but must be equipped with tools and find the right parts.

An Archimedean screw ca is not at the brico of the corner I think ...

:?

Well, do we do it together? : Cheesy:

Well when I said together it was together on the "forum"!

For alternatives to pellets: shredded wood, chips even sawdust directly ... There is no choice.

What is your concern with pellets? Speculation about their price or the fact that pellet sellers are also oil sellers?

Ben the fact that we remain dependent on a production line that can vary their prices according to their desires, the possibility of poor manufacturing (accidental or not), and that if everyone goes to pellets demand will be superior to the offer and that it will become galère ... Y'a had a study on it, I read it but I do not know too much or .... (on the net)

Yes I think the same ...

Your study would be interesting to complete this subject: speculation on the price of wood

I have a small question about boiler stoves like your DEOM:
I thought the advantage of the stove lies in the ability to burn wood (or other) at high temperature, which allows to have a high performance.
On the other hand, since you pass cold water around, does not it make the performance fall (because it has to lower the temperature)?
Have you noticed a significant consumption of wood?

It consumes "quite a bit" ... I think the yield is not greater than 75% but it has other advantages (continuous fire, burns all forms of wood ...).

I should measure the temperature of the fumes someday ...

Otherwise here is the final diagram of assembly: https://www.econologie.com/forums/chaudiere- ... t4589.html
