Do not choose recycled toilet paper
Many of you were surprised that I mention the presence, sometimes, of bisphenol A in toilet paper.
This bisphenol A is present in recycled toilet paper, that is to say not made directly from wood pulp but from paper already used.
Because the raw material of "recycled" consists mainly of office documents that ended up in the basket and still contain printing inks - which include bisphenol A!
Bisphenol A is a recognized endocrine disruptor that increases your risk of disease and can make you sterile. Its presence on the sheets of your newspaper is not dangerous ... as long as you do not swallow them! You will not use it as toilet paper ...!
If you want to stay "green" in your choice of toilet paper, which I obviously encourage you to do, look for the logo and the mention FSC on the packaging of your toilet paper: they testify that the paper is indeed from wood, but sustainably managed forests.

(Confirmed by a study this month's pick)
That's it, we want to be green, we poison ourselves!

Re: Recycled toilet paper, my buttocks!
I like the title, but the more direct version would be more appropriate!
Regarding the different labels, we must not harbor too many illusions about their content ... Forests are already subject to numerous regulations which guarantee minimum compliance and, from this point of view, an additional "layer" n ' adds nothing except a hoax from mainstream buyers; on the other hand, if we take a close look at the required conditions and the "small arrangements" concerning the modalities, we see that it does not really correspond to what we are asked to believe (for example, all it takes is a certain percentage of certified wood so that a sawmill can sell all under label) ...
It is rather a marketing tool as well as a way to recover quiet funds (you have to pay in proportion to the forest area to "benefit" *).
Initially, the intention was laudable and concerned the tropical woods to avoid abuses too obvious, but the operation of this system is still quieter in our latitudes (less risk of taking a bullet in the middle of nowhere ).
* Clearly, being able to sell your wood to processing companies that are constrained by distribution ... It's pretty damn good, as a strategy ...

It is unacceptable that such a public health problem is hidden longer from the French! Organizing a Grenelle du PQ, maybe a RIP (is not it Amhed?) Is the most important! But what is this government doing?

Bisphenol A has a great ability to cross the primary barriers of the body: epidermal contact is enough to find traces in the body; it also passes through mucous membranes and blood walls.

Knowing that repeated exposure with endocrine disruptors is harmful, do what you want. Or wash your bidet ...

Can you support your say.
Office papers are basically photocopy sheets printed in black and white.
I never heard that there was bisphenol A in the toner composition.
Do not tell us nonsense with inks.

When chemical analyzes reveal the presence of this product, there is nothing to support. However:
BPA is ubiquitous in our daily lives: used since 50 years for the manufacture of plastics, it is included in the composition of polycarbonates, epoxy resins, polyesters and other polyvinyl chloride. In other words, the composition of most objects around us (food and non-food containers, headlight optics, electrical equipment and cables, household appliances, medical devices, printing inks, etc.).
