Hello we want to change our wood stove. So we hesitate between the 760 gm dovre and the sapphire from seguin.
What do you think of one or the other thank you

currently we have a godin we are given it but it consumes far too much. For a new 7 year old maiosn 4 cords of wood is a lot

If it is your only means of heating it is not much ... depends on the surface, the volume, the temperature sought ... of your region and altitude also obviously ...

I'm not sure that a stove change will lower your consumption so much.

What model of Godin was that?

The technical data of these two devices are too thin for it to be possible to comment.

Vertical heaters with a narrow hearth are my preference, because they more easily meet the conditions favorable to good combustion.

Unfortunately, the other parameter, which is the heat exchange capacity, is the poor relation since if, to be effective, a stove needs to be of a reduced volume, the exchange capacity requires a generous configuration, which is not observed in conventional commercial products.
