Fthanron, I believe that compressing a material with an insulating base because it contains a lot of air, is very likely to see this quality decrease ... But I guess that is not the only aspect. If you could tell us more ...

This is because the speed of light is greater than that of sound,
Some have the brilliant air before the air con ....:D :D :D

Ok, I am sneaking around and here is the insulation:

We have for Stramit :
100% recyclable product.
Dimensions (L x W x D): 250 x 120 x 5,8 cm (standard) and from 100 to 360 cm in length on request.
Weight: 22 kg / m².
Grey color.
Reaction to fire classification: 30 min (PV n ° RA07-0320 issued by the Cstb).
Coefficient of thermal conductivity (λ): 0,102 W / mK
Thermal resistance (R): 0,56 m².K / W.
Airborne noise reduction (Rw): 32 dB.
Taken from http://produits-btp.batiproduits.com/Biomasse-Energie-Berry/Stramit/fiche/r?id=1449198140

For Bale of straw : lambda (λ) approximately = 0.07 W / mK. so for a bale of straw of 50cm laid flat a result of R = 5,84 m2.K / W according to http://forums.futura-sciences.com/archive/index.php/t-85851-coef-lambda-d-une-botte-de-paille.html
and for the sound: According to "Building in straw today", Rw = 53-54dB

This is what I can bring tonight ... good night and see you tomorrow.

you laugh ?
it is sure that it is weak compared to a bale of straw which is 50cm thick (I take the side of 35cm), but it insulates well!

it did not compare to 5.8cm of glass wool, without counting the price of the palco to add on rail etc!

do the math ;-)

performances

Thermal conductivity: <0,102 W / mK
Thermal Resistance:> 0,56 m² / KW
Diffusion coefficient: µ = 13,1
Load resistance without deformation: 981,3 MPa

PHOTOS CENSORSHIP BECAUSE ELSEWHERE: I TELL YOU JONULE, bandwidth theft pays for itself! YOU DON'T WANT TO UNDERSTAND YOU ASSUME YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES! So you have the choice: either you put the photos on OUR host or you do not!

you also have superb achievements of insulation of concrete block wall from the outside, with straw bales (35 cm R = 5), lime coating finish, SUPERB and not expensive ... if you want I have pictures of a book.

thanks thanks

So I'm taking all the info on the straw panels : Cheesy: it could go on my breeze blocks, either indoors or outdoors, I like the idea. Yep, my dream is to have a straw house : Cheesy:

Did you use it?

By cons since this morning I look for rates and I found nothing :|

I await a response from a supplier, to whom I sent an email for info and prices

Well that's good, when you have the answer you can talk about it here: https://www.econologie.com/forums/aide-aux-d ... -vf75.html

that's it i'm a pain in the ass i'm a bandwidth thief and it's war ... what kindness! : Mrgreen:

good ok, I no longer illustrate my remarks except on links going to my site on which the photos will be put, I promise.

too bad it was practical for that internet ... except for duplicate subjects ...

concerning the photos of assembly details, they are visible at the bottom of this page:
http://www.cd2e.com/CD2E/ecoMateriaux/E ... t&flag=rec

> Math: For the straw, yes, I will insulate my under-roof with interlocked straw bales (rainproof but breathable wooden plate, 18mm thick, 7 € m²): so for the moment the bales are stored on the attic floor quite simply ;-)
but it's not partitions.

> by the way, can someone compare the difference in performance between 5cm of glass wool and 5cm of this straw board?
I no longer remember the formula ...

No it's the same: NO PHOTO OTHER THAN ON OUR HOSTING ... then you pack up your false pseudo anarchy and comply with the rules: the others respect them pkoi YOU YOU would be above them doing what you want ?

Sorry but this is the condition for the durability of this forum ! I don't want to run behind the photos which will no longer exist in a few months because of a dead link and to purge rotten subjects because of this.

I prefer no image than a dead link! Same remark for the bandwidth!
