Hello, I want to insulate my house (no insulation for now; coated stone wall of about 50 cm).
On the Leroy Merlin site, I started to look at the insulators and I realize that some insulators (mineral wool in particular) reach R of 4, even 5 in 200mm. Pb: these are roof insulation. Can these insulators be installed on walls?
Thank you for your answers.
Difference between roof and wall insulation
Hello
yes you can put them for your wall, but it will cost you quite expensive.
In addition if you have an R of 4 or more on your walls, you must remain consistent and therefore put an R of 7 for example on the roof since this is where we lose the most.
RT2005 recommends an R of 2.6 for walls and an R of 5 for roofing.
So yes it is possible but profitable and "useful" not on ...

You should put links to see what it is exactly.
I assume that the roof insulation is glass wool in rolls, therefore very low density, and that the wall insulation is semi rigid panels.
If this is the case, I advise you not to put LdV in roll on the walls, because it will not hold in time, you can be sure that it will collapse and you will end up with the high walls without insulation, with all the bp that goes with it.
