Insulation tips

by PoppyGuy » 14/03/11, 15:36

Hello,

I just bought a house.
I had the company carry out a heat balance:
"GLOBAL CONCEPT" (Insulation side) (Sky blue partner of EDF).
I have a surface of 95,43m², all electric 1600 euros for 2010.
The house dates from 1982 insulation of the attic by glass wool.
The proposition is as follows:
Blown insulation with "NitaCoton"
Funding
95.43 m² x 72 euros = 6870.96 euros
Tax credit = 1511.61 euros
Balance = 6870.96-1511.61 = 5359.35 euros
Anyone know this brand, and do you think the quote is correct?

I listen to your advice.
Thank you for your help
cordially
Guy

Hello
Is 95m² your living space or the surface to be insulated?
Because you say you have a surface of 95m² and it is also the value that is taken into account in the insulation estimate. Bizzare, right?
These are lost attic or converted attic.
Because in the first case the insulation is very easy to do and will not cost you much by doing it yourself, and in the second case the price of the estimate seems fair, because it is certainly necessary to remove the tiles, insulate and rest tiles.

Uh if it's a single storey house normally for lost roof space it's the same, right?

Yes that's why I'm asking.
From what I saw on the net:
For 95m² you need 38 bags of 100 L of cellulose wadding by machine insufflation for 20cm of insulation or around 850 € of wadding.
By hand you need 3 bags per m3 or 57 bags therefore 1340 € which is about 14 € per m² if you do it yourself.

Even without tax deduction you are a big winner. :P

sky blue partner edf = a horde of sharks specializing in the sale of shit at a golden price to steal old little ...

Poppy guy..When they land at your house, water them with filthy trash each other than the others ... You can also throw shit seals in their faces ...

They multiply the prices by 4 to 10 ... : Evil:

Fun comparison

For 6800 € you could put about 1m thick of cellulose wadding.

Which gives you an R of 27 !!

with a density between 25 and 50kg / m3 you would need a ceiling resistant to 96m3 x 50 = 4800kg

Hello everybody
Thank you for answering me
The attic is the surface of the house.
They are lost roofs, because the slope in Vendée is 30 °. The ceiling is made of suspended bricks, impossible to walk inside, the glass wool has been deposited as is, a bit haphazard, impossible to arrange.
Doing it alone is not easy, I can only do this from the outside :|

The ceiling bricks are fixed on joists I suppose
They wouldn't resist your weight?
Look at the chart below.

http://boisphile.over-blog.com/article-6372996-6.html

I think that it is not impossible to make a trap between two joists and to slide you up.

If you have to go through the roof without stepping on the joists you can swing the insulation with a rental machine.
I saw machines at 80 € a day.

Just clear a few tiles to pass the mouth of the machine and send the mash.

Once your site is ready, it will not take more than a day to isolate.

These jobs are not easy to do alone like all jobs in general. As far as I'm concerned, what motivates me is the savings I make by carrying out the work myself and also a certain satisfaction at the end when everything is going well.
This type of work requires no special skills, just a good dose of motivation.

Beware of possible accidents: such as passing through the roofs, or unstable ladder, or breathing too much dust, full wadding containing 7% borate salt which is not good for breathing (mask required).
ask hack 23.

Boron is also very good for calming edgy nuclear reactors.
