PVC chassis for 6 or 8 rooms

by tuttikullikum » 21/02/10, 11:41

Hello,

I have to order frames for the new building.
-18 cm of wood fiber on the roof
-floor with - + 8cm of cork
-20cm ytong wall (lambda 0.1) with a facing brick.
- all lintels are coated with ytong

The house is therefore not super isolated regarding.

Do I have any interest in placing 6 or 8-chamber pvc frames or triple glazing?

Uh, wouldn't he miss a part of the sentence?

I do not find that it is so badly insulated and if all the houses were insulated like yours, the energy bill of the country would be greatly reduced ...

Hi Christopher,

"concerning the walls" 8).

It is said that triple glazing can generate condensation if the house is not well insulated.
The chassis sellers (met with batimons) seem to say anything!

By the way, from when, it is absolutely necessary to place a vmc.
In fact I would like to avoid vmc, it really bothers me.

Triple glazing is only of interest on the "North" side or where the solar gain is zero (solar mask).

Studies have shown that double glazing is preferred on the south side because of the solar gain. In short, I don't understand that in passive houses we put 100% triple glazing ...

You will find more info on the triple glazing here

And in particular this substantive debate: https://www.econologie.com/forums/le-triple- ... t4570.html

VMC has nothing directly to do with glazing but with the overall waterproofing of your house.

Apparently, you are in the Walloon region and your building is new: you are therefore forced to choose between:

hyper ugly chassis with a ventilation device (which in my opinion compromises their effectiveness)
et
a vmc (which has the advantage of being able to be stopped in case of need or later to be replaced by a vmc double flow)

these measures were taken because the houses have become too airtight, which causes condensation, then mold: solution: ventilate!

I will finish reading the 12 pages.

Yes I am in the Walloon region. There are frames that allow ventilation through the position of the handle while keeping the security system but the Walloon region does not accept it.

Forget, because theft security issue (it's my job) it's strictly laughable!
The approved chassis are horrors: you have to deploy a lot of ingenuity to put them out of service: I still prefer the vmc.

theft is your job : Shock: : Cheesy:

Thank you for the info, the seller had convinced me, I feel lousy ...

Otherwise after the 12 pages, I have the impression that I have to place triple
on the front (and again ??) and on the left side certainly.

The facade of the house is directed towards the NW (in truth a little more towards the O than the N), which means that the left side face receives almost no sun.

Absolutely ! My slogan is "only get robbed once, come see me first" :D

It is well known that in my early days, like all my colleagues, I burgled at night and I spent the next morning putting advertising butterflies in mailboxes .... :D (at least that is what some claim), but since the 90s (fall of the Berlin Wall), this is no longer necessary!
