ANSES corrupted by Bayer / Monsanto in 2016 (but no, no, it's not a conspiratorial!)
In 2016, ANSES buried a report on glyphosate
The National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety was to give an opinion on the robustness of the tests used in the European expertise to detect a possible genotoxicity of products based on the controversial herbicide.
On March 10, 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified glyphosate as probable carcinogenic to humans and opened up a lasting controversy over the safety of the synthetic pesticide most used in France and in the world. Two weeks later, five ministries seized the National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES) for an opinion on the matter. The first part of this expertise was published in February 2016. According to our information, the second was buried by ANSES.
This is the first time that the French pesticide gendarme has thus eliminated, outside of any procedure, an expert appraisal project. “Such a situation is unprecedented. Normally, the expertise, once initiated, can not be interrupted without reason, says a connoisseur of the agency. This is a guarantee of the independence of the process: once a question has been put to scientists, the agency must not be able to ignore the answer they provide. "
In their letter of referral, ANSES 'supervisors asked it to clarify the differences between the IARC and the European preliminary expertise, conducted by Germany. Unlike the IARC, this cleared glyphosate of any carcinogenic potential. To answer, ANSES brought together a group of four researchers from outside the agency - three toxicologists and an epidemiologist - and asked them for two separate reports.
Fortunately, Exni released from this forum !!
