Well, put the camera back on... On a solid footing, it costs less than a fence... : Cheesy:

The foot is 80 to 90 cm in circumference, that's not the problem, the problem is 2 dirty kids unfastening the strap! : Lol:

If you are not able to apply your way of seeing things to your own offspring....You will have a hard time getting rid of rodents... : Cheesy: : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

Two twists, a week without eating sleeping in the basement...
I can guarantee that your beavers will be brought back to you in the form of canned pâté and the skins ready to be tanned : Cheesy:

If it's “an act of rebellion against authority” you should pardon him... : Mrgreen:

Or an unconscious act to determine which of the two parents loves him more.... 8)

It's done, we descended 200-300m downstream of the stream and then it arrives in a pasture and there are no more trees for 400-500m...so I guess the beavers don't go any further...

Conclusion: still no dam in sight !!!

On the other hand, we found one of their "pantry" (?????) in the banks which are well perforated in places (photos taken on the other bank, almost on the other side of my garden)...

Is it possible that beavers live there in the absence of a dam??

Because that's the most likely hypothesis at the moment....

They would not be builder beavers but squatter beavers!! : Shock: : Shock: : Shock:

The plot on the other side of the stream is made up of tall grass, and I wonder if they are not taking a nap there, given certain places:

And the night from Sunday to Monday, they ravaged the 2nd side! They even left with one of the remaining trichobel planks!! : Mrgreen: :|

Before it was like this:

Image

After that there is nothing left...(no photo but you can imagine...)

WHAT'S MORE !!!

The God of Beavers must be really very powerful because this damn 2nd camera didn't film anything at all!!!!! : Evil: : Evil: : Evil:

Image

(I had set the trigger sensitivity to medium because on high in 24 hours I had 400 "nothing" photo/video files...)

So what next?

Apart from the passivity I don't see too much... :(

Some infos:

Beavers feed on... willow trees in winter : Arrowd:

Beaver's menu: herbaceous plants, orchard fruits and other willow bark.

The beaver is exclusively vegetarian. In summer, he adapts his food to the offer of the moment. In winter, he becomes the willow bark specialist. [...]

Beavers do not hibernate. They protect themselves against winter by building up reserves. They store under water at the entrance to their burrow, a supply of branches. They stick them firmly in the ground so that they are not washed away.
