Very nice researcher article that should be read to the max with his figures prohibited by copyright:
https://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?ti ... =109298551

Nothing similar in English on wiki !!
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corail
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coral

Considering the complexity for corals, nothing prevents an even worse complexity on algae and plants, which escapes us completely and which clearly exists for very capricious germination, in cold, birds, etc ...!

Finally some have problems with their reproductive instinct !!

I'm more for, I also found this site quite interesting http://www.jardiner-avec-la-lune.net for those who want more information.
In any case, for my part I am convinced of the usefulness of respecting the lunar cycles in gardening.
Anyone working in cutting trees will tell you that the moon has a significant influence against wood pests!

Hi,

Amateur gardener and compulsive since my childhood and distant childhood, I have great doubts about the effect of the moon on cultures.

It is not because the moon in clear sky is an element which has always challenged humanity that its influence is in terms of gravity effect or in terms of light intensity is sufficient to be measurable.

In addition, it is easy to confuse cause and consequence: one of my astrophysicist friends was interested in the ability of the full moon to whiten the sheets placed on the grass. Rigorous study proving that the lunar luminosity was insufficient and its actinic action nil. So ? In fact when we see the moon, it is because the sky is clear and the ozone in the air dissolves in the dew. This behaves like bleach. Nice confusion between cause and consequence ...

Finally, many convinced rely on indisputable evidence of the genre: it is well known that the elders, the stuff tribe, a neighbor ...

But hey when we see that astrology is still followed today by millions of our fellow citizens, we can understand that the lunar influence much less eccentric than astrology, is still under debate.

Good parties of New Year.

Difficult to draw conclusions if a rigorous scientific protocol has not been established.

There are so many factors that can come into play ...
In some protocols, we have already seen that what the researcher thinks, alone, can influence the result of the experiment ...!

Well no, there are still quite a few hypotheses:
1) such as for example minute changes in the Earth's magnetic field (caused by the position / rotation of the Moon?) Which would give an indication of "window of favorable growth"to plants and lots of other things ^^

2) until the one which makes that if we examine the reasons for which you created this thread, we cannot exclude that this could possibly influence the interpretation that you will make of the posted opinions. And tint your conclusions in a way "expected or even speculated".

We know that some plants are sensitive to magnetic fields in the presence of blue light. The phenomenon is weakly perceptible then a tiny variation ???

Hello,

Plants can compare the durations of days and nights, how do they count time?
If a tree can prolong its season because of a simple street light, can we assume that it also "sees" the moon?

Out of curiosity, I bought the lunar calendar (it was displayed near the cash desk in the farmers' circle).
It's full of useful advice for gardening, independent of the moon, which makes the neophyte who refers to it likely to succeed in his garden ...

I see the moon as a time mark, which can help the gardener keep pace with his garden (placebo effect on the gardener).

Besides that, the scientific part which popularizes the solar system with diagrams is interesting, the angles between the planets and the moon are noted in the calendar (more than 100 pages), which makes it possible to seek them in the sky.

A+

Very precise measurements made it possible to establish that the trees underwent the effects of the tides: their height increases slightly, while their diameter decreases. It is thus possible to locate and draw up a table of tides and even to detect the time of high tides (moon and sun in conjunction) and that of low water (moon and sun in opposition). This effect is not related to the distance from the location considered to the sea.
