It's a bit like my Nikon: I can see the image it will take via an "app" - and trigger it remotely. In picture mode. In video mode it doesn't work - hence the bad framing of some of my videos, severed heads and other pranks...
On the gardepro E8 that I just installed at the back of the house.
I think I understood the Bluetooth Wifi nuance: the camera uses Bluetooth to configure a "separate" wifi network with the application.
In other words, it does not use your WiFi network...but a WiFi generated by the "camera"...
So the range is not terrible at all (it does not pass my 2 walls ) but when it passes, we can have the image in real time (with 5 or 6 seconds of lag in night mode, it may be better in daytime mode?) to answer your question.
I don't know if there is a PC application but I won't spend too much time on it since I have a real wifi IP camera to install...
To be continued tomorrow for the 1st night of surveillance!
