Problem: my manual pallet truck no longer raises

And if they were repairing rather than throwing and change? Rediscover the pleasure of the repairs yourself. How to diagnose a problem or find spare parts? Repair itself is way to save money generally!

Hello
well here I am
I put some hydraulic oil back in
so it goes up suddenly (empty) and sometimes blocks then goes up but not very quickly more when I go up on the frame of the transpal
it went up once then now we feel the piston move but it looks like it is elastic (when I pump with the lever the piston goes up but when the lever goes up it goes down again)
I therefore dismantled the three large screws, two have springs and balls the third has a fine spring in the bottom but I see no ball
(ps I have to put the photos but I have not yet found how to do it : Mrgreen: )
after resting in the same way as the screws and valves, always same pb
Could it be that the oil is too fluid (hydraulic oil for crane jack)?
what is funny is that we feel the jack move when we put our fingers on it but it goes up and down again at the same time as the lever ???
LV13R
ps I can dismantle everything but if sometimes someone has an idea before because this thing is already old and to find parts if it breaks by dismantling hard hard
in addition it is always when we need it that its breakdown breaks down. : Lol:

There could be air trapped in it, elasticity and leaks, but you have to be very careful about the seals if you disassemble with a good understanding of the operation (better than for the photos !!).

hello dedeleco
it’s true that for the photos it’s not the best but hey I’ll do better next time
in terms of operation I understand it perfectly and I'm going to dismantle it completely what I just wanted to know is if sometimes there won't be something to do without having to dismantle everything because as I said who says old stuff says difficulty for spare parts
again thank you for the answers i will tell you if i managed to save it

before dismantling everything, check the descent command

on simple jacks, screw a tap firmly on the bottom: but on pallet trucks it is often the opposite, when you push it opens and lowers, when you leave it free it is the force of an interior spring that closes ... if it's stuck it doesn't close ...

Chatelot is right and, in addition, make it go up and down partially 10 to 20 times to evacuate the air which has been trapped at the end of its travel and which will leave via the joints patiently which are not made for air but for oil.
Gradually the force would increase in this case.

If disassembled, pay extra attention to fragile and untraceable joints !!

There is nothing more frustrating than to find that we dismantled unnecessarily and that we broke by dismantling the seals for example !!
