For a few days now my HP2840 from 2007 has stopped working ... it only prints blank pages without an error message.
I am all the more annoyed that I had bought more than 100 € of toner and drum at the beginning of December. Throughout her life I think she must have printed between 50 and 80 pages ... (it may be indicated in the stats ... to see)
Let's say it's like my saab, an old lady who needs a little attention!

History of the failure:
a) In November I noticed a few blank pages when I printed the same .pdf of ten pages in a row 3 times ... (always the same blank pages but they were printed individually afterwards. ..I thought about a PC bug ...)
b) At the beginning of December I could no longer print pages with a high fill rate at all (i.e. the text was still printing but not a page where there was a photo or a complex diagram with a lot of fills black: she came out a virgin)
c) Since then I have read the manual (350 pages) which is still on the HP site https://support.hp.com/ch-fr/product/hp ... 97/manuals
I looked at the forums and websites on this model or other laser, I have tried "everything" and nothing works.
In short, I did not succeed in relaunching it with the basic advice (I have not pushed very far either for the moment ... hence this subject) ... and it is quite difficult to find information and HP2840 users considering the age of the machine ...
d) It's not a network or PC problem because the internal reports no longer print either ... I just have, from time to time, a few (bad) colors and that on the left of the page on a column of about 3 cm ...
e) Obviously I tried to interchange drum and toner with the new ones (3 black toners tested ...)
f) I did several cleaning and calibration cycles following the worries at the beginning of December ...
In my opinion it looks like it is the laser which no longer works well but without any certainty (there is no "powder" or traces on the pages that come out) ... But it still heats up (we can access it easily) and no internal error message: normally this failure must be reported according to the manual ...
In short I dry well, hence this subject!
Does any of this speak to anyone?
She is 14 years old ok she may have had her day but I would like not to have to throw it away if it is not too difficult to repair (I want to put 100 € or 150 € of parts in it but no more ... ) ...
