Difficult times for EDF: it needs
- continue to pretend that nuclear is not expensive
- while selling the most expensive electricity possible to its competitors to earn money!

Cruel dilemma : Cheesy:

French electricity is one of the cheapest in Europe.
If we really took all the costs induced by nuclear power, it's a safe bet that France would be at the top of the basket.

But across Europe, there will be a significant increase in the cost of electricity in the coming years.

The electricity bill for households and businesses will increase over the next fifteen years and challenges EU governments to make this increase bearable, points out a working document prepared by the European Commission.

Hopefully this will have the merit of boosting renewable energies.

Indeed, the cheapest supplier in Belgium is Luminus, a subsidiary of EDF.

Well, advancing in the video, we find Janco's marked interest in nuclear ...
He says we can't use solar / wind because it represents peanuts and 10 * peanuts = peanuts
However, for nuclear, it is the same. We are not going to significantly save oil with nuclear power.
But that has already been said on this forum...

Watch out, because Electrabel has just announced a drop in its prices:

He explains the problems very well, but he was and still is for nuclear power. See also his site:

Hello

in fact if we do not count the reprocessing and the risks if a big concern the nuclear is profitable it starts from the principle that it is mastered.

Because our consumption is rather gigantic and the other energies make rather gadget compared to the needs.

we have other energies that produce well but make co2

Where all the experts agree it is on energy savings (insulation etc)

there really should be a clear post showing with numbers:
- our needs for the French territory
- and with the different powers that the different production models can provide

We would really have a better vision, maybe I haven't seen it
