Let's go back to my sheep ...

by hurl22 » 17/11/11, 09:31

At the moment, I am heating our "loft" (old wooden shed), with one of my little OCNI! 280 cubic meters, 6 quarter logs in 35 mm from 19 p.m. to 1 a.m., 20/22 ° average!

but hey, let's go back to my sheep!

Someone would have a concrete experience to follow from one end to the other!
I need to get my hands on a concrete example that works.
Then comes the learning time to understand and improve my idea, but as a kid, I have to see for myself first! (I'm already on the verge of potash!) I need a new toy to assemble, disassemble ...

Here! Today begins our great wind adventure!
We have found a model to follow for our concrete experiences!
From there, we will draw conclusions and do our study for a more "calculated" project and everything ...

The project:

- A vertical axis canister type wind turbine at constant speed.
- A "Piggott" type generator 9 coils 24 magnets.
- A car alternator.
- An old generator set generator.

The basic idea:

Get hands-on experience of the different projects found on the net about generators or alternators. All with maximum recovery.

The bottom line:

Too much info, you get the info! People want concrete that works! Going into a risky project costs money and often people who need this type of project do not have one! Hence our idea of the moment (well yes, we have others!): Build a wind turbine at a lower cost, and use it to test the different types of generator or alternator!
From there, with this experience, we will therefore be able to say:

- It works or not!
- It costs so much!
- That works better!

Here! Today cutting a 200-liter can and manufacturing the "coil pedal"! Or manufacture of a rain gauge ... It is appropriate ...

Can: 0 euros / X3 unit: 0 euros
Copper wire: 15 euros / kg: 15 euros
Wood for winder: 0 euros / ton X0.001: 0 euros
screws: 0 euros / X4 screws: 0 euros

Go hop, let's get started ... 0 later!

The alternator will not run fast enough !!!
So plan a speed multiplication by toothed belt or well-designed recovered gears !!!

This is the case of very large wind turbines !!!!!!
As well the case, as small flashlights recharged by crank at a few € !!

Scientific orders of magnitude are essential so as not to rush into the dark and rediscover with pain, what others have discovered long before !!!
Faraday 1830!!

In too much info, you have to look for the common essential !!!!!

Thank you, but as already said, I am looking above all for a concrete experience and an "exercise" of practical work ... In short, I will not repeat myself and encumber myself with posts that I criticized above ...

Result of the day:

-Magnets order there: http://www.yxmagnetic.com

-Two hours to mount a winder.

-Four hours to "turn" 9 coils of 70 turns in 1 mm.

-A reflective aperitif hour about the continuation ...

Conclusion:

-The winder is in point, one or two practical details remain to be settled to stick the tape ...

-Turning 9 reels is very, but then very ... Pfff, good for two, but huh ...

To be continued with the passage in resin as soon as we receive the magnets ... next week!

In the meantime, cutting out the cans and developing the wind turbine is testing!

Here! good evening to all!

Some like to rush into the fog by criticizing the posts instead of thinking by reading them !!!
Difficult to understand !!
Big risk that the coils (wire 1 mm 70 turns) are too big compared to the not very expensive magnets !!
In addition, the alternator will not run fast enough in an ordinary wind, unless there are non-stop cyclones at hurt22 !!

I love sweet little words in the morning!
So, since you have to go through the post pollution to make the subject attractive, let's go:

I only criticize two things: (ref. Me! Just go back to the page ... 1!)

1- The fact that there are too many useless messages (like this one), which "help" to form posts of ... 135 pages (sisi! I checked because I read a lot!), which do not contain interesting conclusions for beginners looking for information!

2- The fact that there are too many posts on the subject and never to summarize! Let me explain (again): On many sites (like computer troubleshooting), a completed problem is noted "solved", which makes it an example to follow and is often accompanied by a "summary" in the last post!

I just asked the person present if anyone had carried out his experiment and could make a summary that could be easily found for beginners (like me) who want to get their hands on without leaving "in the fog" without a guide what!

Now if you feel that my approach is zero (my goal being to share my experiences see above huh ...), you just had to say nothing!
I started on this forum to have concrete answers without polluting all that with messages that are useless!
There are people who are really looking for information and who, by reading all of this, will look elsewhere!

So, if a nice moderator or other person can or wants to delete these messages (at best my dumplings repeatedly!), Don't bother!

If for any serious answers requested, I only get "that's not how we do it" ... What is the point of asking questions?

And for your information, after having read almost two 200 posts on a 50 groin site, most of which in English, I don't think I would go blindly!
I was just waiting for a bit of support from someone who has been there and not from yet another smart guy who has no answer to my question!

Well this is my very first post on econology and I can assure you that you have my full attention : Mrgreen:

I also carry out a recovery-based test ... just to tinker;)

Welcome Clad, would you give us a little overview of your DIY?

I vote for the writing of concrete post and practicality.
Down the talkers and ceiling fans!
