If we add to this that the mains water comes mainly from underground, it must be pumped to make it reach a level of gravity storage useful to the user. 31 Gwh / year (maximum exploitable potential after construction in Switzerland = 1 day of production of a 1300 MW nuclear unit) is not negligible but it is certainly a special case in Switzerland and dependent on water consumption of the user currently.
The European hydraulic potential is already well exploited, it will not go to war beyond 20% above what it is.
On a global scale, the latter will double, then stagnate and eventually be reduced (climate change ...).
