The battery of the future could be made of vegetable fibers

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

Hello,

Researchers have found a more ecological battery made from wood, salt and metal.

this kind of futurist lacks knowledge of the past!

gaston planted invented the lead battery with wooden separators in sulfuric acid

later when we wanted to make glass separators thinking we were doing better, it worked less well, the wood produces lignosulfonate with the acid which have a possible effect on the battery life

the lining of active material in the plates always contains sawdust!

another problem: replace lithium with sodium? sodium is incompatible with water: no aqueous electrolyte, therefore electrolyte in molten salt and battery operating at high temperature ... therefore no wooden separator
