Municipal swimming pool with renewable energies?

by routy » 28/01/09, 22:08

Hello
I am looking for examples of municipal swimming pools that have been renovated to improve energy efficiency and include as much renewable energy as possible
to build a dossier and propose cost-effective fossil energy solutions to the elected representatives of my municipality who have this project

1) This does not apply to fossil fuels directly, but here is an example of a natural swimming pool in Belgium: https://www.econologie.com/forums/piscine-mu ... t5847.html

2) I also heard about some pools with cogeneration or wood heating (pellets or shredded) here is a concrete example: wood cogeneration at the swimming pool of Tournai

Hello Routy

There are 'combined' pool / ice rink solutions or the energy lost in calories to get cold is recovered to heat the adjoining pool. This is not exactly your 'renewable' problem, but well-studied overall performance can be relatively good and commensurate with the investment of a municipality.

Hello Routy,

The Bozon swimming pool at the sports center near Tours is currently being equipped with a system for maintaining solar pools with solar energy combined with heat pumps.
The system used is called "HELIOPAC": http://www.heliopac.fr

In Decize, we find ourselves in the alluvium (sand-gravel) of the Loire, directly in the water table of the river and therefore in the ideal conditions for the operation of water / water PAC ...

A heated pool thanks to the heat of the sewers

Updated the 16 April 2018

The Parisian swimming pools are innovating: Aspirant-Dunand pools and showers (14e) are heated thanks to heat recovery from wastewater. At Butte-aux-Cailles (13e), the Nordic basin is heated by computer servers.

The heat of the sewers used by a pool? This is the unusual installation set up for the first time in Paris at the pool Aspirant-Dunand (14e). The sewage water is, throughout the year, at a temperature between 13 ° and 20 ° C, thanks to the heat of the water evacuated by the toilets and the domestic equipments. It is a geothermal "low temperature" that is developed: the calories are extracted from the effluents through heat exchangers and recovered using heat pumps that store energy to heat the basins.
