Manufacturing a bucket wheel with an irrigation reel

by fredo24 » 17/12/09, 17:31

hello i'm brand new on this forum
I'm building a bucket wheel over it
on the drain canl of my basins and body of water with an irrigation hose reel
2.5 M fall
200 l flow rate
my wheel is 1.8 in diameter and 70cm wide
I plan to install around 30 curved galvanized blades
I think I can produce 5 kwh dream or reality?
who can help me calculate the speed triangle
asynchronous generator or alternator?
electricity consumed on site not resale
number of batteries?
converter power mini 10000w peak
there are 3 homes to supply : Idea:

Hello,

To start "gently":

https://www.econologie.com/calculer-la-p ... -4035.html

You have the potential of: 4.9 kW with an alternator efficiency of 100%

Then you can do a search on the site:

There are already some mill projects in progress!

I widely recommend the alternator for reasons of hydraulic regime stability (well, it depends on your river): https://www.econologie.com/forums/search.php

The batteries should only serve as a buffer, in order to point peak power, ie no storage.

This is what I will do on mine (if one day I get there): https://www.econologie.com/forums/tambour-de ... t6303.html

Yes the reel is a good idea ... provided you can handle it even if it is brief to have handling equipment!

hello Fredo 24
beautiful project indeed.
I would not want to sound like a joy, but this being considered as a work of art
is it legal?
