Exhibition for Renewable Energies in Paris, 2008

by Christophe » 21/06/08, 10:47

We were yesterday with Christine at the Paris Renewable Energy Fair.

This post is intended to give you a sort of virtual tour.

We did some photos and video.

a) photos:
https://www.econologie.com/forums/salon-des- ... html#84863

b) the 2 videos: https://www.econologie.com/salon-des-ene ... -3857.html
https://www.econologie.com/moteur-stirli ... -3856.html

General impression: quite disappointing (60 to 70% it was PV ... hey yes it's mod €), in some living room habitat we have the same info ...

Positive points all the same:

a) 2 stirling in exhibition 1 solar and 1 wood from Sunmachine.fr
b) 1 stand of our partner actu-environnement.com cf: http://www.actu-environnement.com/prese ... -actu.php4 (too bad I couldn't talk to them)
c) Contact with ESE Solar concerning SolarTrips (see: http://www.ese-solar.com/ese/produits/p ... rbeurs.php :

The width of the fins can vary between 60 and 150 mm.
The available length is from 0.5 m to 6 m.

He assured me that it had been 8 years since he had done it ... :?: : Shock: shame because it would have been very interesting for self-construction.

Regarding SUNMACHINE, have you seen the posts of a newcomer here? (I don't know his name anymore)
Apparently it is he who sells them in France, he posted yesterday on the subject.

Here are some first photos:

The only wind turbine in the show:

The zoli sign:

A biogas engine and its HUGE turbo (40 cm in diameter approximately !! If kk1 has explanations because I have already worked on engines of the same power / displacement but with turbos of bcp size more reasonable):

An integrated PV roof:

Another:

And the most interesting for the end: a stirling with solar concentration. Advertised price: 30 000 € HT without transport, without installation for 3kW peak ... very difficult "profitable" even at 1 € per kWh !!

Hello everybody :D

I will add this reference, this concerns the recovery and transport of light.
This innovation seems relevant to me.

Hi, hi, hi jooliiiii the cogeneration engine! Is it a V16? Beautiful creature in any case : Mrgreen: ...

For the size of the turbo, I don't know, maybe it turns very slowly?

Well if it turns slowly you have to put a mechanical compressor then ...

Weird but the guys at the stand were not available to explain to me ...

Bonjour Christophe

The green donkey, it looks more like a model than a real engine .... In these cases, they allow themselves ... a lot that tourists will not dispute.

Having seen models of helicopter engines at exhibitions, and knowing a few parts, they were not shy about switching compressors on different engines. : Mrgreen: One way like another to limit copying and counterfeiting.

I went to the salon on Saturday afternoon (sorry Christophe and Christine, Friday, not possible), and I found it interesting and relevant.

It is a professional fair, so many stands were not intended for the general public. There were quite a few Presta, consulting, investment boxes ... which are important players in the RES sector but not sexy for the tourist.

There was indeed an over-representation of Photo_Voltaïque. Too bad. Not everything can be perfect.

Wind power was poorly represented. No manufacturers, but a few developers, advice boxes, maintenance specialists, equipment manufacturers (anenometers, data-loggers ...). You have to see that if the manufacturers no longer do shows, it is because the order books are full and full, so there is little point in getting to know potential customers who in any case already know them . I had interesting discussions with people from the wind industry, but hey, being in the business, I knew where I was going. It helps : Cheesy:

Training organizations were present (eg Ensam de Corse, which offers a specialized Masters). It’s very positive.

I especially appreciated the almost complete disappearance of the numerous parasites present two years ago in Lyon and in Paris four years ago. I'm talking about the stands of pseudo clean cars, hydrogen, PAC and other bio-ethanol in which the car manufacturers, oil tankers and chemists came to comm to make people believe that they have players in renewable energies and the environment. . Good riddance !!

The Show has established itself as a meeting of real serious renewable energy professionals and avoided becoming a machine for greening everything and anything. Anyway, I think he bonnifies.

And indeed, there was the prototype of the Sunmachine !! Very good. He throws some !!

Thanks for the photos Chris. (I didn't do it :| )
