Do you know the Wolfhart pump?
http://video.asterpix.com/v/213592701/w ... lic-motor/

http://video.asterpix.com/v/159003311/w ... pump-1985/

As you can see, it can work in reverse with the only water pressure at the input it turns the electric motor : Idea: : Idea:
hence my idea of turning an electric generator by the vapor pressure produced by a large diameter parabolic concentrator.
I am French resident in Morocco Agadir or I can get at low cost of parabola of 1.80m to 3.5m in diameter

what do you think of these pumps for this project and do you know any resellers

high pressure pump

by oli 80 » 19/05/09, 18:48

hello, this pump is reminiscent of high pressure cleaners of the karcher type or others, it seems to me that these devices are equipped with this type of pump, if this is the case you would just have to dismantle a hp cleaner, you may be your business

Hello,
I do not think that a Karcher type device can work backwards, that is to say by sending the pressure of tap water it makes the Karcher engine run

It can work in reverse, it's one thing, but in this configuration what is its performance?

For the video, the most fun is the sound of the pump at full capacity at the start of the video, it looks like a car competition engine. : Mrgreen:

For the parabolic concentrator, you already have the sunshine and diameter which are good :P

as we see on video 2 the simple pressure of water from the network is enough to make the electric motor turn, I told myself that by sending a higher vapor pressure I could make a generator run at higher speed.

What do you think and what means to obtain a vapor pressure with the parabolic concentrator

karcher or other pumps are piston pumps, they are absolutely not reversible

the video pump looks more like a vane pump

I don't expect to see this video.

The starting videos have disappeared, and this link gives the clear principle:

A priori not very reversible.

Informative and pretty pump
