Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

On the scale of the ocean, qq km2 will not make a big difference.
And at the price of diesel as much as the fishermen do not go too much
far away, if they find on the outskirts of ... how are they still saying ..
tidal streams full of fish.
The tidal turbines will necessarily place where there is power and
these artificial reefs (thanks for having ex-oceano breath) will be
a blessing for the fish that will find refuge there.
D or full of fish for the fishermen who will only have to bend to harvest. What to ask for more than energy
Renewable galore and miraculous peaches as a bonus.
There will be lobster, crabs, lots of mussels
and other wonders (ecological / culinary).

Yes, I read some articles on it recently, it's really heartbreaking ... :|

Finally, Norway and Japan are not alone in hiding behind a "tradition" or other misleading reason to shoot cattle ...

This is not because we always said that it is impossible that we should not try :)

Fix on the article the power is probably not of 9000 kWh. The power expressed in W or kW if you want.
9000 kW it does not stand up ... 9 MW for a small biniou on the roof : Shock:
I think that this is an estimate of the annual production, that seems to me to be more likely. :P

Excerpt from Actu-Environment:
[...] This 6kW wind turbine, adapted to local production at the point of use, should produce the equivalent of the consumption required for the common parts of the two buildings of 20 dwellings each located in below, that is from 8 to 10 000 kWh / year. The wind turbine should be connected to the EDF network during the month of January.

Emphasizing that the energy produced is, however, reduced from 20 to 50% depending on the sites because this system does not orient itself to the wind, the research department explains that with this type of wind turbine, we avoid a complex system and very solicited in urban areas while having a low structure and easily integrated into the building.
