Hello !
For my part, I make firewood and I would like some advice ...
I would like to know how to calculate the number of steres from the volume of a beech log for logs of 50 cm, 40 cm and 30 cm. (1m cube of beech log = 1,85 steres in 50 cm?)

Theoretically, according to the Afnor standard, 1 M3 in logs (of hardwood) gives 1,5 cubic meters (in 1 M, therefore).
Then, it suffices to apply the coefficients to have the volumes apparent (or equivalent-steres) in different lengths: 0,8 for 0,50; 0,7 for 0,33 ...
With a simple rule of three, we can find the intermediate values.
