and even if the required volumes are available, that gives us more intermediaries...

while Russia had the good taste to guarantee stable supplies at moderate prices by the least energy-consuming means of transport (gas pipelines)

Yes, that was before the psycho's colonial war.

You open an important point. Indeed, for decades, including in periods of high tension (pacifists are in the West, missiles are in the East, Mitterrand in 83 for example), Gazprom has always been known as a supplier particularly reliable over time (subject to payment, of course).
There, I think they have ruined this reputation in a few months vis-à-vis Europe and that, provided that the conflict subsides in a while, things will never go back to the way they were before. They will be a gas supplier like any other, some countries including Germany will have regasification capacity that they did not have before, others will have increased their export capacity. And the gas sometimes considered as a risk-free "transition energy" will certainly be looked at differently. It's my opinion.

Janco is too nice on this one: the Germans are anti-nuclear because they don't master the technology...and if we can do it upside down in France, that's good too...

In other words, they are protectionist bastards…in the heart of Europe…

when the specialists in everything is allowed have rotted everything, the greens can only be seen as obstacles to exploiting everything. So the jester sucks in analysis, as usual!

It's very recent, Germany would have modified its solar PV installation objectives, with more than 22GW annual by the middle of the decade, to reach more than 200GW (63 today) by 2030.

https://www.cleanenergywire.org/news/ge ... rpass-goal

Frankly, I do not really see how they will manage this production in the summer, except to have in parallel a huge development of batteries (on 4 wheels or stationary). To be continued...
