Wind turbines are made of a metal structure capable of transmitting a significant electric wave to your home electrical installation in case of lightning.
The wind protection cabinet is installed near the wind turbine, between the three-phase AC output of the wind generator and the wind turbine charge controller.
The wind protection cabinet AIGER has a dual function:
The lightning protection of the installation connected downstream of the wind generator (charge controller and DC / AC converter).
Shutdown and safety of the wind turbine thanks to a switch 3 positions: on, off and security; the "safety" position short-circuits the wind turbine poles, which prevents any rotation in the event of strong winds in order to protect the wind turbine.

Study feasibility of wind turbine 2kW home?
The max voltage of 115V batteries when we arrive at full wind load on but after 24H without charge or discharge: about 102V (12.75x8), is that it?

your box is quite sufficient for the lightning, remains to have an effective ground (weakest resistance)
the selector is practical but avoids putting it on zero, wind vacuum!
I advise you to use the 2 position to stop the wind turbine, if you want to disconnect the charge controller, batteries or work on the generator safely. if you're away for a long time too, I do not know if you can trust the controller ...

Yes I planned to change it since our exchanges earlier.
I'm going to look in more detail at the circuits inside and send the diode to the + battery to see if it changes anything or burns the diode or the fuse.
In any case the terminal block battery is well wired inside.
I'll know more tomorrow with the clamp but I do not see why the voltmeter controller indicates 96 or 100V when the wind turbine is stopped.

for the voltmeter, it indicates the voltage at the batteries, not the inputs (wind or solar)

Hello everybody
I'm back after a few months where my project had to stay in suspense ...
At the end of December I could observe several things:
-Many vibrations in the mat so a feeling of flying over the house permanently.
-Small squeak pretty annoying when the generator changed position.
-Turbulence when the wind was facing the pinion (NO) so almost all the time in Normandy.
-regulator and discharge resistance of very poor quality.
-Various voltage deviations between each battery.
I was able to correct all these problems, remains the part inverter and connection:
-Added 8 silent block:
-Devassing the generator, adding grease, I could see one of the 3 brooms a little broken, checking the internal tightenings and cables.
-Mounting the mast to 11m and adding 2 heights (tips of the blades to 12m10):
-Buy a new regulator / dump load:
-Buy 7 load balancer for batteries:
At the level of the results, for recall the generator is a FD2000 in 96V:
-At start at 3m / s I have no production.
-From 4 or 5 m / s I am at 2.5A so 250W, the wind is practically permanent at 15km / h here, so I produce 200 at 250W almost all the time.
-That morning the wind was about 10m / s, I was able to climb up to 7.8A.
-The voltage at the regulator is 105 / 106V when I am at 2.5A and 112 / 113V at 7.8A.
-From 111V, the regulator switches from "normal" mode to "floating" mode.
What do you think of all this?

your silent block scares me! they have no guarantee of tensile strength
with silent block like wind turbine will fall when there will be too much wind ... unless you change them often enough
does the silent block really reduce the noise? I do not believe it too much: the noise is due to this principle of helix which regulates its power by picking up more or less: it is a principle which was abandoned on the big windmill precisely because of the noise: with a step variable we adapt the propeller to the wind without making any noise
I bought the same wind turbine but I do not even want to mount it in its original state ... I'm preparing a hub variable pitch, to have efficiency and security

Yes the noise has been reduced very significantly, it will not bother anyone but it is always present.
I have not yet tightened the shrouds to the maximum but I do not think that this will solve the "problem" (which is not one unless it weakens the welds of my structure)
My plan B was to sink the foot of my mast on 1 m high in a concrete cylinder?
