For the info

Chams will be the biggest in the world but soon an even bigger one (3 times more) will see the light of day in the USA.
This techno is going to develop in my opinion, I know because I know very well the people who worked on chams.

Chams is a CSP with tubes containing a coolant, there is also the CSp tower which is promising.

Exactly, concentrated solar is certainly one of the renewable technologies with the most future!
Nevada Solar One has proven the effectiveness of the concept, however it will certainly be necessary to wait for the next oil shock for its technologies to become widespread.

Sen no sen, I just asked the solar people if they had heard of vortex tower technology.
Well yes, but that does not provoke an unleashed passion. Where can I find serious info (they told me about a start up who contacted them for funding a project against the flank of a mountain).

As info, I'm looking like:
- tower sizing (calculation principle, not a 1000m or 300m figure, but how they get there)
- air turbine technology
- studies already carried out?
...

Look at this already:

https://www.econologie.com/forums/tours-aerogeneratrices-a-effet-vortex-synthese-t3801.html

And the best is to go directly asked to the designer himself:

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/aerogeneratrice/

There are several patent applications on the subject:
1) the Nazare patent (1964!)
2) the Michaud patent
http://vortexengine.ca/sommaire.shtml
3) The aerogenerating tower of the French Alain Coustou and Paul Alary see first links.
