Association France Biomass Energy

Allowing better coordination between all the players in a booming sector: this is the objective declared by a new association, "France Biomasse Energie".

Announced on July 5, the creation of this 1901 law association aims to "make the development strategy" of biomass producers coherent, for all sectors, in terms of production as well as processing.

The association constitutes a "gathering of multiple skills, from biomass producers to energy users, around the development of production.
electricity, heat, so-called "2nd generation" biofuels and
biogas, from industrial or agricultural installations and using all forms
biomass. ”explains a press release.

It will serve as a place of knowledge exchange and monitoring of research, development and energy markets and will play a role in raising awareness and providing information to the public authorities. One of the main objectives will also be to forge partnerships with existing professional organizations, both at national and European level.

According to the association, if the biomaterials and green chemistry recovery sectors are already relatively well structured, this is not the case for energy recovery, apart from first-generation biofuels.

"To date, there was a lack of a meeting place and proposals, with an interprofessional logic." It is now done.

On July 5, the French Biomasse Energie 1901 law association announced its creation. France Biomasse Energie is the biomass inter-profession bringing together all the representatives of the sectors concerned: from biomass producers to energy users, around the development of production of electricity, heat, so-called 2nd generation biofuel and biogas, from 'industrial or agricultural installations and using all forms of biomass. The France Biomasse Energie association intends to develop multiple partnerships with all existing professional organizations with which many synergies are possible in the general interest of the sector, both at the French, European and international level, the association indicated in its communicated. Its main objectives are in particular to promote exchanges in terms of the adequacy between the different qualities of biomass, to take stock of R&D studies and technological watch, to ensure an observatory of the markets for energy from biomass and the conditions for their development in the French, European and global level, offer public authorities the support of a group of experts.
