But who will want to pay a fissile tax in France?
Already the carbon tax is almost buried, and the renewable energy tariff tends to fall, because it seems too expensive ...
My dear Dédé, I agree with you on the substance, but unfortunately everything is decided in advance on the form. We are going to sink seriously into peak oil, and renewable energies will not prevail immediately because of the dumping of coal, gas ... and nuclear.
No one can roll back nuclear power in France. Only peak uranium will calm things down in 30 or 50 years.
The accidents and waste management you speak of are the last concerns of the leaders of the sector. They provide a minimum service in this area: a few large swimming pools, a few small caves in the basements, average plant security just to ensure production and after them the flood.
PS: if you try to insist on a sentence, put it in bold and / or in color, it will already be quite busy.
Kind regards.

Never mind! as this dear Claude Allègre said, the future is generation 4 (breeder reactors which will operate on Thorium with reserves for several centuries !!!).
In nuclear power, they plan for the long term, except for their waste!

Thank you for the answer !!
Thanks I'm going too fast, not nitpicking enough and a little lazy out of habit of sizes in the drop down menu. It would be good to set large to 14 by default !! (size14)
The nuclear disaster, as for OGM (we discover on TV (arte) at the moment a century later after their discovery that the trans fatty acids are very dangerous and kill, yet very harmless and hyperstable next to GMOs), will arrive faster than we would like and will stop nuclear power, more than with Chernobyl !!
We must insist on the insurance tax on all pollution (not only CO2) on a global scale to protect against future human and natural disasters, (already to be claimed by environmentalists).
We have indeed invented the income tax and abolished the one on windows, created maldie insurance, fuel taxes, etc ... !!
Even for earthquakes it would be useful as well as to compensate Bangladesh submerged by our CO2 (not proven) but it would be useful to create a world insurance in provision of all catastrophes !!!
Past utopias have become real !!

Hi,
nuclear safety is not just in France

Sometimes it is better to stop, reflect, and ask the right questions ...

Indeed, breeding is salivating. it is not yet fully developed, but it could be.
It does not solve the problem of waste and proliferation, which are the 2 big warts in the industry.
